Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
BillFold is a legislative-monitoring app for Washington State lobbyists and government-affairs professionals, operated by Tracqi Technology, LLC (“BillFold,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using BillFold you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address to create and identify your account.
- Portfolio data you create. The clients you add, the interests, keywords, and RCW sections you define, the bills you track, positions you set, and related notes and settings.
- Documents and meetings. Documents you upload and meeting transcripts you save are stored to provide the service. Meeting audio stays on your device.
- Notifications and device data. Your notification preferences and the device push token needed to deliver alerts.
- Usage and diagnostic data. Basic logs and technical information (such as timestamps and error details) used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
How we use information
We use your information to operate BillFold: to match active legislation to your clients’ interests, rank what matters, generate plain-language summaries of bills and amendments, surface hearings, deliver notifications, provide support, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your portfolio data for advertising.
AI processing and third-party services
- Third-party AI services. With your permission, which we ask for in the app, BillFold sends third-party AI services the relevant legislative text and the client information needed to produce summaries and analysis. They process it under their own terms. We pay for this processing; you don’t need your own AI account.
- Authentication. We use Google Firebase Authentication to verify Apple and Google sign-ins.
- Apple. App distribution and push notification delivery are provided by Apple.
- Legislative and registration data. Bill, hearing, and public-registration data comes from public Washington State sources, including the Washington State Legislature and the Public Disclosure Commission.
- Hosting. The service runs on third-party cloud hosting providers, with encrypted backups.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account is open. You can delete your account at any time in Settings, or by emailing kaleb@tracqi.com. Your account and its data are erased right away. Backup copies are overwritten within 90 days. We keep the record of your acceptance of the beta agreement, and anything else the law requires us to keep.
Security
We protect data in transit with TLS and encrypt sensitive values at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.
Your choices and rights
You can access and update your portfolio data in the app, and request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing us.
Children
BillFold is a professional tool intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
